Obama talking like he should have all 3 years.

Alright Mr. Obama. You used some pretty strong wording on this one. And I approve. I am behind you 100%. With just one addendum to my support. STICK TO YOUR GUNS AND DON’T BACK DOWN! If you are going to talk tough, then BE tough. Whether your job plans succeed or fail, doesn’t matter. Show your mettle, shove this down the throats of the idiots who are putting party politics before their country and make them choke on it! The last 3 years have been too much talk, negotiation, and compromise. And look where that has gotten us. Do it your way. Sink or swim YOUR WAY. FUCK THE CRITICS, THE NAY SAYERS, AND THE MOUTH BREATHERS HOLDING YOU BACK!

This never happened. It’s all false.

This is what happens when I get hyper at work while on gchat. And this episode that she is referring to is fiction. NEVER HAPPENED!

Fran: wah. i think deep down youd miss me if i died.  somewhere in that cold heart of yours.

me: …. i have a heart?  since when? seriously, i wasnt aware that i had one, let alone that it is cold  lol

Fran: you got emotional in front of me  because of me  YOU HAVE A HEART.

me: LIES  CONJECTURE  PHOTOS OR IT NEVER HAPPENED

Fran: OH IT HAPPENED.  IT DID.

me: allegedly  its all hearsay  lol

Fran: it happened.

me: PROVE IT!  lol

Listen to Warren Buffet!

Whatever you do, read the article first. It was written by Warren Buffet. If you don’t know who he is, he is one of the richest men in America and he built his billions from the ground up. Anyway, the point of the article above is that he thinks the government should start taxing (more) the rich on Capital Gains and Investment Returns. Buffet throws out a few numbers that are just truly staggering. But he made one clear observation that not only do I agree with but that resonates with me. Americans are rapidly losing faith in the ability of Congress to deal with our country’s fiscal problems. That statement says it all for me. I have absolutely no faith in our government anymore. And that is a very sad thing. Our government now spends too much time trying to get elected, and not enough time fixing the problems. And part of the problem is the general public. They don’t think long term. The would rather have money in their pocket now, then triple that money in 5 years time. It’s gotten to the point as a politician that if you are doing a great job fixing the country’s problems, then the public almost has to hate what you are doing. It is time for some tough lough in the fiscal policies of our country, and I feel like there are no politicians willing to nut up and do what is necessary. Look at the debt ceiling crisis that just passed. For MONTHS the government did the bureaucratic equivalent of playing grab ass while the crisis grew and what happened? We extended our debt with no compromise. Too many politicians worrying about getting re-elected. This has to stop or else our country will collapse like the Roman Empire did (minus the barbarian invasions).

I haven’t updated in a while (yes I know its starting to become a trend, I get it) but life and like I’ve mentioned before, the lack of angst makes posting less important. Anywho, the above song is one of the many I bought last night on itunes. I bought $30 worth of music. Damn you one-touch buying and recommendations! In other news, went rock climbing for the first time. Big step for someone who doesn’t like heights. But it was a lot of fun even though I was by far the worst climber in the group! Oh and I got hired full time finally. After almost exactly a year as a temp. ooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I am a nerd.

So I am bored at work. I was thinking about some of my favorite shows and movies, and what I like about them. And I have come to a conclusion. I love the moments in thrillers and cop/robber shows when you see the robber/protagonist walk across the street, then a truck passes by real quick, and when the street is visable again the robber/protagonist is disappeared. For whatever reason that shot always gives me chills.

3rd day back at the grind after vacation. This is getting old already. I suppose I will just gchat all day while listening to all the podcasts that I missed on my vacay. And read my kindle while pretending to be productive.

So I am leaving for vacation in Maine on Tuesday. And I felt the need to share a picture of where I shall be. This is the lighthouse that is across the cove from the house, and you can see it clearly! I hope you all are jealous!

Gonna VOM

So the title of this post is a tad odd (even for me). BUT, I am in such a good mood that this post will be happy, which will make TexMex want to vomit. Hence, “Gonna VOM”. There IS a method to my madness. But anywho, back to my lack of posting. I have been busy with work and life. I will run down the list because fuck it, if you dont want to hear about it, then you shouldnt be reading this anyway.

So, been doing the working thing. 40+ hours a week. You know how I do. Coming up on almost a year working here. Still love my job. No where else would there be a daily game of PIG in the afternoon.

Now I am officially dating (but not fb official) my new girl ACA. Hence the lack of posting. It is a theory of mine that the higher your level of angst, the more you post on tumblr. And my level of angst is damn near non-existent for once. I guess the only other big news in this area is that I am also having her come to my grandfather’s house in Maine with me for 5 days or so on vacation (my parents will also be there, but are driving separately, thank god).

Took a week or 2 off from going to the gym so my 5k running ability dropped again. Which sucks because the 5K is in 17 days. I may not survive the Warrior Dash.

My best friend from hs got married 2 weekends ago to a woman from Italy. Nice family and the wedding was a blast (thank god for an open bar). He also got married on his 24th birthday. Which makes him a genius. His wedding anniversary is on his birthday. He will never forget it. GENIUS.

And this past weekend I was in Pittsburgh with my buddy fitzy to visit some friends of ours. I had never been to Pitt, but goddamn is that a beautiful city. Did some drinking, did A LOT of eating (of really really good food), and we hit the zoo. Which is a win. I f’ing love the zoo. Even better was sitting at the penguin exhibit and looking at Fitzy as we both started singing “Don’t push me because I am close to the edge” at the same time. Creepy yet hilarious. (yes we are 24 years old and we quote Happy Feet. Deal with it.)

Other than that, haven’t done much of interest.
